Boarding

sub menu

Boarding at Ashford School is a popular choice for both busy working families who take advantage of the high-speed train to London and choose the weekly option and for those parents living or working overseas who want a safe and caring environment for their children.

Children choose to board with us because of our busy programme of boarders’ activities, the fact that we are just 40 minutes from London and only a 90-minute drive from the main airports, and because our Boarders make life-long friendships with people from across the world.

Your child will be looked after by a dedicated House Mistress or Master and team of staff as well as having access to our on-site Medical Centre.

The information on these pages should help you decide what is right for you and your child but please do not hesitate to contact our Head of Boarding Chris Liston with any questions.

What kind of boarding?

  • Choose from full, where boarders go home only at half term and during holidays. We have no weekends during term time when children must go home but you are also free to take your child home on any weekend you like.
  • Weekly boarders go home every weekend and we also offer Flexi-boarding where beds are available. Sometimes, if your child has an activity after school that is finishing late, you may find it easier to book him or her in for the night.
